Talented Friends

I wrote Some Girl in the VCC screenwriting class a couple of years ago, which I always recommend to blocked writers or people just wanting to start writing scripts. Then, because of the writer's strike this past summer, all the filmmakers I know had time, so we finally got together.
Some Girl is loosely based on a personal essay in Promiscuities by Naomi Wolf about her experience visiting her boyfriend at his fraternity house the day after a party where a woman gets assaulted.
So we passed around the script and pulled together a gifted cast and crew, called in all the favours. The opportunity to produce and direct such an important story was a dream come true. And I learned a lot. I'm eternally grateful to all the talented friends and colleagues who worked so hard to make what I hope is a beautiful and meaningful film!
